GLUTATHIONE - What is it and Why is it so Vital and Important?
In my 30 years as a Regenerative Medicine doctor, I’ve got my short list of MUST-HAVE supplements to stay healthy, prevent disease and to give your outsides the healthiest look possible.
GLUTATHIONE is near the top of that list. You’ve seen it listed in nearly every possible product: as food additives, vitamin supplements, enhanced drinks, skin creams and in intravenous injections such as the Immune Booster and Liver Detox offered in our OneDrip formula. This short explanation will break down the important facts about GLUTATHIONE:
Who needs it the most?
What’s the best way to take Glutathione?
What does it actually do in the body?
GLUTATHIONE is a Peptide! Peptides are small Amino Acids or chains of Amino Acids that create various effects in cells in the body. GLUTATHIONE is a tri-peptide that exists in EVERY cell in the body. It is produced in the cell and is one of the most powerful ANTI-OXIDENTS in the body.
Anti-oxidants, simply, are Detoxifiers. They remove the things that can damage a cell and help repair cells where the damage has been done. Healthy cells have healthy cell activity whether it be brain, heart, skin, muscle or hormone production.
In a healthy, unstressed people, Glutathione exists at high levels in human cells. When stress, disease and chronic conditions are present, GLUTATHIONE levels drop severely leaving the cell open to damage and loss of cell activity. As an example, think of how difficult it is to have clear thought and brain function if you’ve had too much alcohol or if you’ve had the flu or a severe cold. One of the reasons this occurs is because of the drop in GLUTATHIONE levels as it is used up trying to protect your cells. So who else needs more GLUTATHIONE:
Diabetics
Patients who drink alcohol and smoke cigarettes regularly
Patients with High Blood Pressure and High Cholesterol
Patients with HIV/AIDS
Patients with neurologic diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and had Stroke
Patients with frequent lung infections and lung disease
Patients over 45 when Glutathione production drops
The suggested amount of Glutathione one should have daily is 250 mg to maintain full ANTI-OXIDANT function. But all forms of Glutathione are not equal! Glutathione has to get into the body first before it can get into the cell. Here are the facts of Glutathione supplements.
Glutathione pills: Generally poorly absorbed into the body. Probably only 15-20% of the pill gets into the cells.
Glutathione liposomal syrup/drink: This is the best form of Glutathione to take orally. Good absorption, but cannot provide a high enough individual dose to create large and rapid changes in the body.
Glutathione intravenous (IV): The best and most highly effective and absorbed form of Glutathione. Doses of 600-1800 mg can be given in a single dose with highly effective, rapid and significant changes in cell function … and in how you will feel.
So we now know that GLUTATHIONE is good for the liver, the kidneys, the heart and the Endocrine / hormone organs.
What about the highly popular “Skin Effect”? Fact or Fiction?
FACT!
GLUTATHIONE has the ability to enhance the feel, elasticity and whiteness of skin. It can directly affect and suppress the Melanocytes, the cells responsible for causing darkening of the skin. When used on a regular basis GLUTATHIONE reduces signs of aging and skin becomes softer, more elastic and brighter—as proven in a number of dose related clinical studies over the last 30 years. GLUTATHIONE skin effect is real!
